Aviation
Aircraft for static display can arrive at Sanderson any time Friday and will be allowed in static area until 8:30 am Saturday, September 13. Aircraft arriving throughout the day will be parked in the transient area to allow for safe egress.

Awards will be awarded to People's Choice and Pilot's Choice on aircraft. There is no judging criteria... just whichever you like best. Judging is from 9:00 to 2:00 pm. Plaques will be awarded at 2:30 pm. FREE Young Eagles flights for kids 8-17
Helicopter Rides
Helicopter rides available from Phoenix Rotorcraft. Cost is 35.00 per person -- flight times are from 9 - 4:30 pm.
Airplane Rides
Olympic Air is offering rides in a fixed wing aircraft for $15.00/person. Call 360-426-1477 for details.
Young Eagles
Free Flights for kids ages 8-17 will be offered throughout the day courtesy of the Washington Pilots Association and the EAA Young Eagles. For details click here
Classic Cars and Dragsters
Classic cars and dragsters on display on the tarmac from 9am to 5pm. Please arrive by 8:30 am to register. Earlier the better. Car area is in the main exhibit area so NO ENTRY after 9:00 am.
People's Choice award for Best Car. Judging from 9:00 to 2:00 pm. Plaques awarded at 2:30 pm.
Community Displays and Vendors
This community event is a great opportunity to provide low cost vendor or information booths to our neighbors! We are excited by the response. Visit our exhibits page to see a constantly updated list of exhibitors. The cost is 35.00 for a commercial vendor and free for a non-profit or Port of Shelton tenant. Details here.
Chowder Cook-Off
Area restaurants will compete for the title of best Seafood Chowder. People's choice award. Judging from 12:00 - 1:30 pm. Purchase your wristband for $5.00 and receive three voting tokens and unlimited 2 oz samples from some of the best local restaurants!First 500 tasters get a free spooner mug! Click here for details!
Kids Activities

The Mason County Sportsman's Association invites you to celebrate the festivities. The Mason County Sportsman's Association will be hosting an open house, Saturday, September 13, 2008, 9AM to 4PM.
Join them at our indoor range located at 521 Business Park Rd., (across from Sims Vibration Laboratories main office).
Everyone is welcome to visit their facility, talk with members and participate in free air gun and .22 rifle and pistol marksmanship. Children are encouraged to participate but must be accompanied by an adult. Trained adults will be at five shooting stations to ensure safety and offer expert coaching. Many of our members have demonstrated their expertise at state, regional and national Civilian, Law Enforcement and Military championships in revolver, pistol, shotgun and rifle competitions.
Sanderson Field R/C Flyers

The objectives of this Club is to promote all phases of radio controlled model aircraft building and to aid the national programs of the Academy of Model Aeronautics, the "AMA".
The Sanderson Field R/C Flyers operate out of Sanderson Field and will be conducting demonstrations during the Anniversary celebration. They will a trainer for the public to try and will have a flight simulator set up in their booth.
Check out the over 25 full size R/C model airplanes hanging in the exhibit hall! Thank you to all the volunteers and aircraft owners who made this display possible! Your support is so apprciated!
