Port of Shelton Commission Selects 2010 Officers


The Port of Shelton Commission selected officers for 2010. Jay Hupp will remain Chairman of the Port Commission while Jack Miles will assume the Vice-Chair and Tom Wallitner will be Treasurer and Secretary. The Port also took action Tuesday to continue their service agreements with their attorney, Charles "Skip" Houser and their auditor, Jan Fancher.

Port of Shelton Honors Rick Byrd and Debbi Hufana

The Port of Shelton honored Rick Byrd for his service on the Port Commission. During the Port of Shelton Commission meeting, Byrd was presented with a plaque recognizing him for the six years he spent on the Commission. Last month, Byrd was unseated by Tom Wallitner. Wallitner will be sworn in to the Commissioner District 1 seat next month.

The Port Commission also recognized Debbi Hufana for ten years of service as the Port's Finance Manager.

Notice of Public Hearing for Adoption of the 2010 Budget Pursuant to RCW 53.35.020 and RCW 53.35.045

The Port of Shelton Commission will meet on November 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the office of the Port of Shelton for the purpose of fixing and adopting its final operating and capital budget for the year 2010.

The Public is invited to a hearing on the 2010 budget, which will take place prior to adoption.

Testimony will be taken by the Port Commission prior to final action on the budget. The preliminary budget is available online and at the administration office at 21 W Sanderson Way, Shelton, WA 98584. Questions should be directed to the Finance Manager, 360.426.1151.
